1- Create a NEW folder, somewhere on your workstation or server, accessible by your DOS application; call it “Backup”, for example: C:\Temp\Backup;

2- Log-in to your DOS application as a high level user, so the first screen you are viewing is the “DataEase Main Menu”;

3- Select menu option 6: Application Maintenance;

4- Select menu option 2: Backup Application;

5- Type the FULL path of the BACKUP folder you have created in step 1 (e.g. C:\temp\Backup), then press [Enter];

6- You should now get the option to specify how much of the application’s data you want to backup; select the appropriate option (not applicable in 453 and below);

7- Next, select option 1: Ignore Error and Continue;

8- Press [Enter] for the next message related to your workstations disk space, DataEase will start the Backup process;

9- Upon successful completion press [Enter] (if there are errors during the back-up process, you will need to investigate & resolve and then re-do the above steps);

10- Press the [Enter] key again to EXIT Backup.
